Who we are
Citany is an AI brand visibility monitoring platform for cross-border brands. Our public website is citany.com and our product is available at app.citany.com. This policy covers both the Citany web platform and the Citany Chrome Extension.
Chrome Extension — data we do and do not collect
The Citany Chrome Extension performs on-device analysis only. When you click the extension icon, it reads the current page's HTML structure — specifically the title tag, meta tags, heading tags, and JSON-LD structured data blocks. It does not read page body content, form values, passwords, or any personal information present on the page.
No browsing history is collected or transmitted. The extension does not track which pages you visit, does not run in the background, and does not collect data unless you actively click the extension icon to trigger a scan.
The SEO check results are computed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to Citany servers. If you choose to run a full AEO audit via the extension, you will be redirected to app.citany.com/audit where the audit is processed under the account data terms below.
Account data
- Name and email address, collected at registration and used for account management.
- OAuth profile information when signing in via Google or GitHub.
- We do not sell account data to third parties.
Audit data
URLs and audit results submitted through app.citany.com are stored in your account. You can view, export, or delete your audit history at any time from your account settings. Audit data is not shared with other users or sold to third parties.
Cookies
We use cookies solely to maintain your login session on app.citany.com. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising.
Third-party services

- Stripe: processes payments. We do not store card details.
- Resend: used for transactional emails such as audit reports and account notifications.
